We officially opened for business in China and Hongkong at the beginning of 2007: unofficially it all started back in 2002, when MD Mark Baldwin and the team left Zhi Lian Zhaopin.com with the intention of building an employment focused business that addressed the real needs of employers in 21st century China.

Our belief is that disruptive technological changes, combined with changing needs and attitudes employers and job seekers, has created a demand for innovative services not currently met by the recruitment industry in China.

Services to China Based Employers

In a nutshell we think employing companies should depend less (a lot less) on third party headhunters. They should be more intelligent in the use of the major job boards - 51job, Zhaopin and China HR do not cut it for us. More time should be spent on developing a recruitment marketing strategy and more through should be put into candidate acquistion. We believe the China market is in the early throes of a major shift and are determined to help our clients make the most of it.

So we built an employer branding business - and as you can see from our case studies, we work with some of the best brands in the world. We have also worked hard to bring the best talent management software to China: this is starting to bring tremendous efficiency and productivity benefits to recruiters. Oxus is now working on an exciting new recruitment media development: we will tell you all about that when it officially launches...it’s a bit early right now.
